HELLO!
My name is Pavlina Sperlinova. I was born in Ostrava on 12th September 1987. I am Virgo in zodiac.
I live in the Czech Republic. The Czech Republic is "a heart of Europe". It has got about ten million inhabitants and three parts - Bohemia, Silesia and Moravia. Prague is the capital of the Czech Republic. The historical monuments of Prague come from all the periods of history. There is the Basilica of St. George, St. Vitus Cathedral, the Carolinum, the Charles Bridge, the Charles University, the Church of St. Nicolas, the National Museum etc. Other big towns are Brno, Ostrava and Ceske Budejovice.
I am from Stara Ves nad Ondrejnici. It is a small village near Frydek-Mistek. It was founded in 1245. It has got 2 464 inhabitants and two parts - Stara Ves and Kosatka. There are many shops, restaurants, post-office, community office, primary school, nursery school, gothic church and renaissance castle there. Gothic church was built by Ctibor Syrakovsky in 1580-1587. Renaissance castle was built by Jaros Syrakovsky in 1560-1570.
In my family there are three members and one animal. My mother's name is Renata, my father's name is Roman. I have got younger brother. His name is Jakub. He is thirteen. He likes sports and he plays handball. Brother gave me a tortoise for my birthday. Its name is Oskar. We live in a flat. There is a small kitchen, living room, bedroom and nursery. I have got nursery with my brother. It is not big. You can see two beds, a small library, computer and radio in our room. There is a lot of cactuses on writing table and five puzzles on walls.
I like riding a bicycle, playing parlour games, reading magazines and listening to CDs, watching Czech films.I attend lessons of dancing on Fridays. I go practise aerobic on Mondays. I like travelling. I go around the Czech Republic with my family. We visit churches, castles and other cultural sights. I have been playing the violin for eight years. I like it! I sometimes read books. My favourite writer is Lenka Lanzova. Her books are very good. She has written many books. Books are about problems with family and first loves. I like bands - Ine Kafe, Tublatanka, Team and Horkyze slize. These are Slovak bands. Kabat is the best band in the Czech Republic. I listen to Tatu, too. My favourite band is Linkin Park. Their CD Meteora is very good.
I have got many friends. Place where we sometimes spend our free time is playground. Handball is played there every week. Handball is very famous in our village. Another place where sometimes we spend free time is the place before a shop near playground.
My high school is situated in town Frydek-Mistek. This school is High School of Commerce with big tradition. School is nice. It is being repaired now. There are three classrooms with computers, two gyms, outer playground, buffet here. Students can learn four foreign languages: English, French, German and Russian language. Special subjects are economics, information technology, and accounting. I like this high school. I would like to go to the university after high school. I would like to study pedagogical school because I like children.
I like travelling. I speak Czech, of course. I speak a little English. English is very widespread language in the world. I would like to meet new people and improve my English. It is very interesting project. When I was younger I visited Croatia with my family. But I don't speak Croatian.
